Established in 1944, Janata Shikshana Samithi is the management of this polytechnic.  The visionary, vetetran freedom fighter late sri Ramrao Hukkerikar the founder and architect of Janata Shikshana Samithi, developed Arts, Commerce, Science and Technical educational institutions as early as 1956.

 

     Pujya, Shri. H.H.Visheshwatheerth Samiji of pejawar math and Padma Bhushan, Pujay Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade of Shree Kshetra Dharmastala, the two holy great personalities took over the stewardship of Samithi in October 1973.  Since then the Samithi has grown into a network of educational institutions like Art, Commerce, Science, B.C.A., B.B.A., Polytechnic, Economic Research Institute, Law College, Engilsh and Kannada pre-Primary and Higher Secondary Schools, working women hostel ladies and boys hostels and also study centres of Indira Gandhi National Open University and Karnatak State Open University.
