The automobile department was started in the year 1979.  At present the department is headed by Sri.A.A.Balikai and with two lecturers in the department.  Since 1985 auto repairs and servicing centre of department takes external repairs and serviceing works and imparts a direct training to the students.  by public demand the department is running a motor vehicle driving training centre.   The department has conducted many training programmes for the staff state wide,  about the technical know how in modern vehicles.  Every year students are getting ranks and amany have been employed through the campus interview.  the department is also running two years job linked course in automobile servicing sponsored by vocatinal education department, Government of Karnataka.
